What Penis Size Do Women Prefer? (3D Model Study Results)
In a groundbreaking study conducted by UCLA and the University of New Mexico using 33 medically accurate 3D printed models, women selected 6.3 inches (16.0 cm) in length and 4.8 inches (12.2 cm) in girth as their ideal size for a long-term partner. For one-night encounters, preferences were slightly larger at 6.4 inches in length and 5.0 inches in girth, but in both cases, preferences remained far below the extreme dimensions shown in adult films. Furthermore, over 85% of women in the study confirmed that emotional connection, oral sex skill, stamina, and attentiveness mattered vastly more for their orgasm than penis size. Any size within the broad normal range is capable of delivering deep satisfaction.
The Prause et al. 3D model experiment
A 3D-model preference study can show how participants in that sample responded to the options they were given. Its results should be described with the original sample, scenario and limitations, not generalised to all women or all relationships.
Long-term partners vs casual encounters
Preferences can vary by person and context. A study of one group or scenario cannot establish what all people prefer in long-term relationships or casual encounters.
What matters more than penis size for partner orgasm
Orgasm varies between individuals and can involve different types of stimulation. Penis dimensions alone do not predict orgasm or satisfaction; communication about preferences and comfortable, consensual activity matter.
